National Library Week, April 13-19 2014

At our library, we are having a community breakfast to celebrate National Library Week. The Coordinator of Library Services has arranged for one of our history professors to give a talk during the breakfast as well. He was a prominent activist during the Civil Rights Era and worked with Martin Luther King Jr, as well as other activists.

For my part, I have designed all the invitations and the flyers, which I am posting below. I've also taken up the suggestion from the ALA website's National Library Week page to have patrons and staff fill in a speech bubble on how libraries have enhanced their lives, which is the theme to this year's National Library Week.

Feel free to use my flyers as inspiration for your upcoming events! I certainly got my ideas from around the web, too!
