Cynthia Hurd Funeral Today

“She was a nerd. She was a librarian.”

Today was the funeral of "one of our own," librarian Cynthia Hurd, a victim of the Charleston Massacre.

Already, as of 'June 25, Charleston city council voted unanimously to change the name of the the St. Andrews Regional Library to the Cynthia Graham Hurd St. Andrews Regional Library, according to The Post and Courier. “People will look up and see her name and remember her every day,” said her husband, Arthur Hurd.'

According to her eulogy, delivered by Gov Nikki Haley, Mrs Hurd's favorite quote was J. M. Barrie's "Be kinder than necessary." Oh to remember that at all times. http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20150627/PC16/150629430/1177/family-friends-fellow-librarians-remember-cynthia-hurd

Blessing to you, Cynthia Hurd, and your fellow church members who were so brutally and senselessly killed.
