Library Management and the Digital Shift
We have to do a research paper for my Management 101 course. I'm going to propose doing my management research paper on "Library Management and the Digital Shift."
The "Digital Shift" can be described as "the challenges presented by technology, ebooks, social media and the digital transition’s impact on libraries, their communities, and related stakeholders." (http://www.thedigitalshift.com/call-for-proposals-the-digital-shift-2016/) It's a term used by the library scholarly journals Library Journal and School Library Journal to describe the impending changes for libraries as access shifts from just paper books to digital information. I will explore what its implications are for the management of libraries.
