This Forbes article articulates the following points about Hillary Clinton's leadership style:
She is resilient. It asserts she knows herself and is authentic. I think the latter half of that is questionable. Often staffers complain that the warm, funny, light-hearted person they know behind closed doors becomes a stiff automaton. Years of trying to make it in a "man's world" so to speak, can change one's public character. But I do agree that she is highly self-aware. What she chooses to do about this awareness is where the trouble lies (be cagey and put everything on your own server, or just do it like everyone else and subject yourself to the extra scrutiny you always face).
They also talk about how she inspires a resilient workforce, a dedicated team. She does this through excellent and clear communication. She is also very good and "building bridges" and "making connections." By cultivating connections, she creates a strategic network to get stuff done [warning: funny SNL meme attached with PG-13 word in it].
And finally she works to gain "smart power," which she describes as "the ability to continuously learn new things and adapt to new situations in order to successfully navigate complex change." Nothing has convinced me more of this than her speech on fighting Daesh (ISIL) at the Council on Foreign Relations in Nov last year. It was like she explained an entire complex game of chess. Her extensive knowledge and ability to see how diplomacy and military force could work to defeat that enemy was impressive. Unfortunately, it doesn't fit succinctly on a tacky trucker hat, so she loses competitive advantage in that instance.
